ABAW Lunar New Year Celebrations 2020
Lunar New Year festivities are full of sound, colour, dance and sweet treats to mark the start of another year full of promise. Whitehorse City Council is proud to support the Asian Business Association of Whitehorse as it brings an exciting program of entertainment and stalls to one of the largest Chinese New Year celebrations in Melbourne.
The showcase of Chinese culture and unique celebration will include activities and entertainment for all ages.
The stunning parade of Choi Sun (Chinese God of Fortune) will entertain, while a visit to the giant Buddha statue will give people a chance to pray for a prosperous and safe year to come.
Dragon dancers weave through the crowd to the beat of drums. The festival showcases wonderful music, singing and dancing from our local community. Festival goers can enjoy games, food, rides, firecracker displays, music and performances.
The festival will be held in and around the Box Hill Mall and along Whitehorse Road between Station Street and Nelson Road.
SBS Radio will broadcast live from the event.
AMFVG has secured 12 locations at a sponsors rate for the event.
Applications open until allocation exhausted.

Site Fee: $700 or 20% of gross sales (whichever is Greater)
Vendors must be self-sufficient to trade at this event.
AMFVG will not be providing power to vendors.
Vendors are permitted to sell any drink of their own preference.
Previous Events have attracted over 100,000 patrons.
